About our Privacy Policy

Synofit Europe B.V. cares about your privacy. That is why we only process data that we need for providing or improving our services and we carefully handle any information we have collected about you and the way you use our services. We never provide your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

This Privacy Policy is applicable to your use of the website and the associated services of Synofit Europe B.V. These terms and conditions came into force on 15 May 2018. The publication of any subsequent version means that all earlier versions are no longer valid. This Privacy Policy describes the data we collect about you, the purposes for which it is used and the conditions under which we may share it with third parties and who we may share it with. We will also explain how we store your data, how we protect it against abuse, and which rights you have with regard to the data you provided to us.

About the data processing

Below we explain below how we process your data, where we store it or have it stored, which security technologies we use, and who has access to the data.

Webshop software

Synofit Europe B.V. has developed its own webshop. Personal data you have provided to us to enable us to provide our services will never be passed on to third parties for purposes other than for the correct processing of your order. Synofit Europe B.V. has taken suitable security measures to keep your data safe. These security measures consist of SSL encryption. Synofit Europe B.V. uses cookies to collect technical information with regard to your use of the website. Synofit Europe B.V. reserves the right to share the collected data within the company in order to further improve service provision.

Email and mailing lists

We send our email newsletters using MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email which is sent automatically from our website, you will find the ‘unsubscribe’ link. If you use this, you will stop receiving the newsletter. Your personal data is stored securely by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other internet technologies which show whether emails are opened and read. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data for the further improvement of our service provision and to share it with third parties within this context. In order to protect your data outside the European Union, Synofit Europe B.V. has concluded a processing agreement with MailChimp.

Payment processors

We use the MultiSafepay platform for handling (some of) the payments in our webshop. MultiSafepay processes your name, address and city and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. MultiSafepay has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. All guarantees listed above about the protection of your personal data are also applicable to the elements of MultiSafepay’s service provision for which they engage third parties. MultiSafepay does not retain your data any longer than is permitted on the basis of legal retention periods.

Reviews

We collect reviews using the eKomi platform. If you leave a review via eKomi, you have the option of leaving your email address. eKomi shares this data with us, so that we can link the review to your order. eKomi has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. All guarantees listed above about the protection of your personal data are also applicable to the elements of eKomi’s service provision for which they engage third parties.

Dispatch and logistics

When you place an order with us, it is our job to deliver the package to you. We use the services of Misi Fulfilment to deliver your package. It is therefore necessary for us to share your name, address and city with Misi Fulfilment. Misi Fulfilment only uses this data for the performance of the agreement. If Misi Fulfilment engages subcontractors, it will also share your details with these subcontractors.

Invoicing and accounts

We use Exact Software services for our administration and accounts. Your name, address and city will be used for the administration of sales invoices.  Your personal data is sent and stored securely. Exact software is obliged to observe secrecy and will treat your data as confidential. Exact Software will not use your personal data for purposes other than those listed above.

Purpose of the data processing

We will only use your data for the provision of our services. That means that the purpose of processing is always directly linked to the order you place. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later date, other than at your request, we will first ask your explicit consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to meet accountancy and other administrative requirements. These third parties are all bound to secrecy on the basis of the agreement between them and us or an oath or a legal obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data which is collected automatically by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our service provision.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations

In certain circumstances, Synofit Europe B.V. may be legally obliged to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by the government. In such a case we are forced to share your data, but we will oppose this within the limits of the law.

Retention periods

We store your data for as long as you are our customer. This means that we retain your customer profile until the moment you tell us that you no longer wish to use our services. If you do, we will interpret this as a request to be forgotten. On the basis of applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices bearing your (personal) data. We will therefore keep this data for as long as the applicable term is valid.

Your rights

As the data subject, you have certain rights on the basis of Dutch and European law regarding the personal data  processed by us or on our behalf. Below we will explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them.

In principle and in order to prevent abuse, we will only send copies and transcripts of your data to the email address we hold for you. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or perhaps by post, we will ask you to prove your identity. We keep a record of processed requests and in case of a request to be forgotten, we record anonymised data. All transcripts and copies of data are sent to you in the machine-readable data format which we use within our systems.

Right of access

You always have the right to access the data that we process or that is processed on our behalf regarding your person or which is traceable to you. You can send a request to our point of contact for privacy matters; please contact our customer service. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a copy of all data to the email address known to us, including an overview of the data processors dealing with this data and stating the category in which we have stored the data.

Right to correction

You always have the right to amend the data that we process or have processed regarding your person or which are traceable to you. You can send a request to our point of contact for privacy matters; please contact our customer service. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the email address known to us stating that the data has been amended.

Right to object and other rights

In certain circumstances, you have the right to object to your personal data being processed by or on the orders of Synofit Europe B.V. If you do object, we will immediately cease processing the data pending the outcome of your request. If your objection is well-founded, we will provide transcripts and/or copies of the data which we process or have processed and permanently cease processing them.

We use cookies on our website. When you visit our website, you need to give us your consent for placing all of these cookies in order to be able to use the website. Consent is given by clicking on a button on our website. If the software solutions of third parties use cookies, this is stated in this privacy statement.
